My week’s edit of what’s going on in my life, things that have inspired me and the books I'm reading.

Wow I can't believe it's November already the last month has gone so quickly. And there's a lot going on with the new lockdown starting today and the US election results due very soon.

What’s great is there seems to be a real shift in what customers want, preferring to support small and shopping locally or from smaller, independent brands. Being an independent brand too I know some amazing designers and makers. I’m also enjoying all the shop small campaign posts.

What I love from buying from indie businesses is not only do you get amazing and unusual products, it's the level of care and personalisation you get. Here are a few brands I've bought from recently, Aesthetic Laundry, Young Double and Basil & Ford they made me feel really special. I'm aiming to get most of my Christmas shopping from indie brands.

I joined in the weekend #jointhepatternparty CMYK special by the wonderful duo Victoria and Leonie in collaboration with The Procrastination paper. I’ve just backed the Procrastination kick starter to get their Annual, which I’m looking forward to receiving.

I'm still reading Time to Think by Nancy Kline, and it's been really fascinating. And I mentioned last week how my biggest take out is to listen more, really listen. I'm now taking this through everything I do and my personal life and it's really life changing, it's helping me pay attention more.

Thanks for reading, would love to know what you think.
